Cannabix Technologies to Attend the Marijuana Business Conference & Expo

Cannabix Technologies Inc. [stockquote symbol=BLOZF] (CSE:BLO), developer of the patent pending Cannabix Marijuana Breathalyzer™ for law enforcement, recently announced that it would be attending the 3rd annual Marijuana Business Conference and Expo on November 12th through the 14th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As the largest and oldest national trade show for the legal cannabis and medical marijuana industry, the Marijuana Business Conference and Expo attracts attendees from more than 30 states and 10 countries. The conference will feature 60 expert speakers with over 125 exhibits that will cover every part of the growing industry.

Cannabix Technologies will be presenting its drug-impairment recognition system, known as the Cannabix Marijuana Breathalyzer™, which is based on breath testing technology that has been developed in Sweden. In early clinical research, the technology was shown to be successful in testing individuals for recent consumption of the Tetrahydrocannabinol (“THC”) component of marijuana.
“Cannabix is progressing well on its prototype development of its marijuana breathalyzer,” added Mr. Malhi. CThe company and its engineering contractor KLN Klein are designing a feature rich hand-held device for law enforcement. Development has been systematically moving forward with electronics hardware, circuit board development, software development, and procurement of parts for assembly of the first prototype unit.”
The technology will enable law enforcement personnel to enhance detection of marijuana impaired driving offenses on North American roads at a time when marijuana is becoming legal in various jurisdictions. In addition to these markets, management predicts a number of other practical applications, such as testing employees in the workplace where intoxication can be dangerous.
