DigiPath Launches Continuing Education Program

DigiPath Inc. [stockquote symbol=DIGP], a digital pathology solutions provider with expanding infrastructure in the cannabis testing and educational markets, recently announced the launch of its new cannabis education and training division. Through a partnership with Oak Tree Educational Partners Inc., the company plans to offer cannabis testing and education services to the rapidly growing industry.

“The Oak Tree partnership will help us accelerate the launch of DigiPath’s education and training curriculums in the botanical nutraceutical and medical marijuana industries,” said DigiPath President Todd Denkin. “We plan to develop weekend seminars, interactive online courses, and instructor-led programs to empower students with a comprehensive understanding of the many facets of [the industry].”

DigiPath plans to provide extensive cannabis testing and education services to the industry in order to address its major shortcomings. By developing an industry-leading training curriculum, the company hopes to standardize the way that workers are trained and increase compliance with state laws and regulations, as well as ensure that consumers and companies achieve the best value.

In June, the company also announced that it had received approval from the Clark County Commission to operate a botanical nutraceutical and cannabis testing laboratory in Las Vegas, Nevada. The form is hoping for final approval from the State of Nevada within the next few months, paving the way for its cannabis testing operations to begin over the near-term.

In addition to its cannabis lines of business, the company designs and markets innovative pathology solutions to private and academic institutions. The firm’s portfolio includes PathScope™, PathCloud™, PathReview™, and PathConsult™ digital platforms to share and archive tissue images. These solutions are used by digital pathologists throughout North America to improve diagnoses.
