Cannabis World Congress & Business Exposition (CWCBExpo) Partners with Healthway Education Systems to Offer CME Accredited Program for Healthcare Professionals
Educating medical practitioners about the cannabis plant’s potent treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions will be an all-day workshop offered at the Cannabis World Congress & Business Exposition (CWCBExpo) at the Javits Center in New York. Presented by Healthway Education Systems, Comprehensive Medical Cannabis and Cannabinoid Training will take place on Wednesday, June 14th and is a CME accredited program. The 4th Annual CWCBExpo, June 14-16, is the leading East Coast event for the medical marijuana, legalized cannabis and hemp industries.
The Comprehensive Medical Cannabis and Cannabinoid Training workshop will educate medical practitioners, including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and pharmacists as well as industry professionals, on the advanced basic and clinical science of cannabinoids and medical cannabis.
The curriculum at CWCBExpo NY includes:
- Overview of the endocannabinoid system, synthetic cannabinoid and cannabis plant based preparations in management of neurological disorders, pain, and nausea
- Comparison of cannabinoid therapies with opioids
- Practical information on the existing legal medical cannabis products in the US and addiction and ethics of recommending medical cannabis
