Cannabix Technologies Inc. [stockquote symbol=BLOZF] (CSE: BLO), developer of the Cannabix Marijuana Breathalyzer technology designed to detect recent consumption of the THC component of marijuana, has appeared in a number of prominent media outlets over the past couple weeks. With the increased exposure, the company could see heightened investor and consumer interest.
In November, the company’s co-founder, Dr. Raj Attariwala, was quoted in a TIME Magazine story titled “Driving While High” by Eliza Gray. The story examines the increasing problem of driving while under the influence of marijuana, saying that it’s no surprise law enforcement is looking for solutions given the magnitude of data suggesting that driving while high poses a real danger.

“A retired Canadian police officer (Malhi) and a physician (Attariwala) have teamed up to create a new Breathalyzer that will detect marijuana use in the past two hours, a decent measure of impairment since pot’s effects are usually felt for about two to three hours after use.
